Let’s go, Yankees!
July 27th, 2008

After a lousy first half, the Yankees are making a run! They are the winners of 8 in a row and every game they’ve played after the All-Star break. They are 1 game behind Boston and 2 behind Tempa Bay. The best part of all this is… they are catching up by kicking Boston’s ass!!!!!! They are playing in Boston right now and have won 2 out of 3 so far. If they won on Sunday, they will take over the Wild Card lead!!!
Let’s go, Yankees!
Papelbon, don’t be an ass…
July 15th, 2008

Mariano Rivera will get the nod to pitch in the 9th inning of the All-Star game because he deserves it more than you do. Not because you said you’d yield to him. Don’t be an ass. Don’t make it seem like it’s about you. It is not.
I wish Bret Farve would just stay retired…
July 14th, 2008

It’s funny how these aging athletes just don’t know when to quit. They all wanna play as long as they can, which I understand. But they’d do that even if their skill levels clearly are declining and they are hurting their own legacy. In my opinion, that’s when you should know to stop. But I guess they don’t realize that….
Watching the Yankees game live on ESPN

The Yankees are playing the Padres at home… Suddenly think those players look good in their home jersey. I think I’d look good in it, too!
OMG! Wang is hurt!!!
June 16th, 2008

Wang Chien Ming was hurt when running bases in last night’s game. (Frankly I was running bases yesterday, too, and I wasn’t hurt… He’s a good athlete and def. more fit than me and he got hurt from just running??? But anyway…) Let’s hope he is not hurt that badly and can come back soon. But so far, it doesn’t sound good…
Yani Tseng won the LPGA Championship… Cool!
June 9th, 2008

Taiwanese golfer, Yani Tseng, just won the LPGA Championship, becoming the second younger winner of a LPGA major (and the first Taiwanese to do it?). Nice! See the story on ESPN.com.
Clemens vs. McNamee
February 14th, 2008
I’ve been watching the Congressional hearing on Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee online on ESPN.com. Here are some of my observations thus far:
- Some of the congress men and women are just idiots. They don’t have clear logic and don’t know the right questions to ask. It’s painful to listen to some of them and think they are the law makers that affect American lives.
- They came into the hearing with their minds made up already. Some are very much pro-clemens and some are very much not. You can just tell…
- I’ve realized and admitted that I want to believe Clemens. Though I think so far I’m less inclined to believe him than before.
- But for the most part, you can come away not knowing exactly who is lying here. Partly because the people asking the questions are so stupid but mostly because it’s still a he said he said situation. There’s still no real evidence either way. Which to me then should mean that Clemens is innocent until proven otherwise.
Oh well… for sure we haven’t seen the end of this… Oh, Clemens’ lawyers don’t look so smart, either…
This is what I have to say about Roger Clements…
February 8th, 2008

For all the denying he’s doing, he is either lying and incredibly ignorant of the serious consequence of his denial or… he’s actually telling the truth. Well, I have no way of knowing either way. But I find it hard to believe that his lawyers would let him dig a bigger and bigger hole for himself. It is now too late for him to change his story without facing some real legal consequence.
However, what I really have a problem with is that somehow a lot of people look at the Mitchell Report as being the definitive authority on what really happened. Well, I haven’t read it, yet, but from I do know about it, I’d say it seems rather incomplete and inconclusive. And the report is naming names, it seems, with evidence provided by just a few individuals. That hardly seems enough investigation and makes it hard to agree that there’s enough evidence in there to accuse anyone specifically.
I think if not for the fact that Andy Pettite has come forward and admited that he did indeed get injected with HGH, then Clement would have a lot more credibility right now. But with Pettite’s admission, it becomes much harder to judge.
Well, I thought Americans believed that you were innocent until proven guilty. I just don’t think Clements has been proven to be a steroid user, yet!
The Giants are going to the Super Bowl!!!!
January 22nd, 2008

What a terrific beginning for 2008 so far!!! First I got a new job and now the Giants are going to the Super Bowl. It’s just so awesome!!! Keep the good things coming, man! =)
Ok, ok, maybe save some for the rest of the year… hehe… Anyway, as a big Giants fan, I can’t tell you how happy I am!!!
My Giants are in the playoff!!!
December 24th, 2007

The Giants beat Buffalo Bills yesterday 38-21 and clinched a wildcard spot with a record of 10-5 (with one more game to play). They are now in the playoff for 3 straight years. Let’s hope they do better than the two previous years and move beyond the first round. I like their chance. They will play the Bucs, which in my opinion is an opponent the Giants can handle. After that, they will play either the Packers or the Cowboys, who will be a much bigger chanllenge.
Anyway, good job, the Giants! People didn’t expect them to be in this spot when the season began and here they are!
